Târgu Mureș, September 24, 2024 – As part of the SIMFEST International Film and Television Festival, there will be a special screening of the film The Secret of Pin-Up Island. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 8:00 PM at the Mihai Eminescu Cultural Center in Târgu Mureș.

SIMFEST is the only film and television festival in Romania and one of the few in Europe. Organized annually by the SIMFEST Cultural Association, the festival supports and promotes creators in media and visual arts, advocating for professionalism and freedom of expression.

The special screening of The Secret of Pin-Up Island, produced in Targu Mures, will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.
The film had its world premiere in February 2024 at the 49th edition of the Boston Sci-Fi Festival (USA), where it won the award for “Best Production Design.”
The Secret of Pin-Up Island is a captivating film directed by Alecs Nastoiu, featuring Rina Gri in the lead role. The production blends elements of psychological fairy tale and science fiction, offering a unique and profound cinematic experience. With an impressive cast of 49 actresses, the film tells an emotional story, supported by powerful performances and outstanding technical achievements. Boldly exploring mental health and the healing power of technology, the film encourages reflection and introspection, leaving a strong message for its audience.
The film is in English with Romanian subtitles and will soon be released in cinemas across Romania.
